Responsibilities
Assemble patient charts, checking that all required forms are present and replenishing forms as needed
File reports from laboratory, allergy, x-ray, pathology etc. in patient charts as directed
Prepare and maintain adequate supply of forms for patients' records
Answer telephones, routes calls, takes messages, and provides routine information to callers
Perform a variety of clerical functions as necessary (e.g., photocopying)
Label files appropriately and clearly; cross check files and reports to be sure that material is being placed in correct file
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualification
Required
6+ months of Clerical experience in a Hospital and/or Medical setting
High School Diploma / GED
Experience with ChartMax or similar electronic document management systems
Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Solid problem solving and time management skills
Exceptional phone etiquette
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
