User Terminal Operations Engineer- US

The User Terminal Operations Engineer will play a critical role in the engineering, maintenance, delivery, and performance of user terminals in the Eutelsat LEO network, working closely with various teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 3 Operations Engineer support for User Terminal Service and Operations troubleshooting and debugging
Perform new firmware and software release planning and testing for a variety of UTs
Deliver hands on training of new features and user terminals to Operations Team and Distribution Partners
Work closely with the Dev Engineering and System Engineering to identify issues to improve the performance of UTs
Investigate and reproduce reported issues with UT vendors engineers
Create and maintain documentation regarding existing standards and processes
Provide support for installation and configuration of user terminals
On-site engagement with technical support from Distribution Partners
Support on-call rotation for high priority escalations
Travel up to 20% of the time

Required

Systematic and methodical approach to debugging and problem solving
Experience with SatCom and RF technologies
Experience with IP networks (routing and switching)
Working knowledge and use of Linux OS and python programming
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of regulatory and test standards related to land maritime and aviation industry
Experience in electrical and mechanical skills required in Satcom
Experience with RF test and measuring equipment
A degree in a related engineering field (information systems, computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering)
Ability to articulate problems and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audience

Preferred

Working understanding of Cellular Technologies would be desirable, e.g. 3GPP
