New Grad, Entry LevelBaillie Lumber is a cohesive group of hardwood producers, and they are seeking a Log Yard Technician for their subsidiary, Hawkeye Forest Products LP. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with the flow of hardwood logs at the log yard, including tasks such as log sorting, scaling, and decking.

Receiving and scaling incoming logs for species, grades and sorts per company guidelines
Operate handheld data collectors to input species, grades and sorts
Chainsaw operation as needed
Adherence to facility safety policies
Qualification
Required

Preferred
Experience operating front-end loader and/or knuckle boom preferred
A degree from a two year technical program or 4 year undergraduate program in a forest products related field will be considered as a substitute for field experience
