Student Data Entry/Clerical Assistant
The Center for Public Partnerships & Research is looking for a Student Data Entry/Clerical Assistant to work in the Kansas Geological Survey public library. The role involves entering data, scanning records, and assisting staff and customers with information requests while maintaining organization of geological records.

Responsibilities
75% - Enter data and scan records, proof data and scans
15% - Sort, organize, incorporate, and file records
5% - Communicate effectively with supervisor, staff, and patrons requesting information
5% - Other duties as directed
Qualification
Required
Experience with data entry
Demonstrated attention to detail as evidenced by application materials
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
Preferred
Coursework or expressed interest in geology, geography or other earth sciences as stated or evidenced by application materials
Experience with or knowledge of the water well industry and/or oil production operations as evidenced by application materials
