Responsibilities
Ensure the proper functioning of the MS Access database tool, including resolving technical issues, optimizing performance, and applying updates as necessary
Import and manage data from various sources into the MS Access database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving the functionality and usability of the database. Develop and implement tools and functions within MS Access to meet these needs
Provide support to multiple country teams, which may consist of Foreign Liaison Officers (FLOs) from diverse cultural backgrounds. Address their inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and maintain strong working relationships
Work closely with the FLOs and other team members to ensure a seamless operation of the database tool, sharing insights and best practices
Oversee the database residing on a network separate from the US Government network/systems. Collaborate with the IT person responsible for supporting this network to ensure its reliability and security
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, one of the physical sciences, engineering or a closely-related scientific discipline
Fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
US Citizenship Required; Ability to obtain a closed, favorable Special Agent Check (SAC) prior to start date. Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance after start date
Proficiency in Microsoft Access, including extensive experience with database maintenance and development
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of various country teams and users
Preferred
Previous experience with foreign military sales programs or working with international teams is a plus
Microsoft Access Experience is strongly preferred
