Senior Principal Software Engineer (Onsite)
Collins Aerospace is a leading company in the aerospace industry, seeking an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to contribute to cutting edge technology programs. The role involves driving technology advancement in a Java/Angular based visualization framework and collaborating with the customer and user community to incorporate feedback throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Driving technology advancement in a Java/Angular based visualization framework
Building reusable and custom user interfaces that provide an intuitive and modern experience with intentional design for adaptability and reuse
Serve as a technical subject matter expert for the visualization technology stack
Design and implement methods of composable and adaptable product lines and product builds
Maintain a backlog of work items in coordination with team/program leads
Collaborate with customer and user community to incorporate user feedback
Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, flight test, and field support
Present to customers or stakeholders on software development progress and capabilities
Work on site as required for lab integration and team collaboration
Travel occasionally to support system integration and test, customer events, and related external activities
Qualification
Required
Experience with designing and implementing a large-scale modularized, reusable product base that supports multiple products
Fluent in Angular, Java, OSGI; and able to perform and lead a technical team with minimal onboarding
Experience spanning software design, implementation, testing, and system integration of large systems
Experience working in or leading a software team, Scrum Master or similar
Experience with normalizing data from multiple sources for user display
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred
Experience with Eclipse, Git, Visual Studio Code, Rational Team Concert, JIRA, Docker, Java, Angular
Experience with data adaptation and multiple system integration
Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Mission Planning, Electronic Warfare, Sensors
Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or related field
