Sr. Traffic/ITS Engineer

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Traffic/ITS Engineer to join our Traffic ITS Team in Miami, FL, where you’ll lead advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems projects. Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of traffic ITS project delivery, including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measures
Serve as a “seller/doer,” developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areas
Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents
Track and oversee multiple projects, ensuring quality control and compliance with company standards
Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are met

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Transportation Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience
Minimum of 8 years of project management experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong knowledge of NEMA, 2070, and ATC controllers, including firmware and software
Ability to read and interpret detailed signal operating plans, cabinet hook-up charts and electrical schematics
Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices
Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
Deep understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project accounting processes with excellent communication skills
Experience preparing proposals and project documentation as well as interpreting client contracts
Ability to travel as needed

Preferred

Master's degree
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Certification Level II or higher
Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision
Active participation in professional engineering societies/organizations
