Responsibilities
Lead a team of Data Engineers, BIEs, and TPMs that develop the end-to-end automation of data pipelines, making PV Sport’s datasets readily-consumable by BI tools and notification systems
Establish and clearly communicate organizational vision, goals and success measures
Collaborate with stakeholders on priorities, and build, own, and deliver a roadmap of large and complex multi-functional projects
Administer AWS analytic infrastructure, and redesign our architecture to enable and optimize for AI capabilities
Partner with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources including analysis of non-standard and unique business problems requiring creative-problem solving to deliver actionable output
Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
Qualification
Required
8+ years of data engineering experience
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience working with databases and SQL
Experience managing analytics, data science or technology teams, with a product or insight focus
Experience leading and influencing the data or BI strategy of your team or organization
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams
Preferred
Experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive etc
Experience with AWS Tools and Technologies (Redshift, S3, EC2)
Knowledge of fundamentals of networking, security, databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
Experience leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion
Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering
6+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
Experience in building analytic or scientific data products or solutions
Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
Experience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fast-moving environment
