Public Relations and Corporate Communications Manager

Responsibilities
Develop and execute public relations program and strategies including media relations, crisis communications/issues management, stakeholder relations, and community relations, that strengthen Myriad’s reputation and visibility
Drive strong two-way communications with external audiences, print, broadcast, trade, and media
Develop and convey compelling messages and position newsworthy development that differentiate Myriad
Create, revise, and implement communications material that delivers key messages to target audiences that are consistent with branding, messaging, and digital strategies
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate proactive public relations campaigns, event marketing, and related initiatives leveraging industry best practices
Collaborate across Marketing and Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging
Build and maintain relationships with key media and industry outlets; manage inquiries and coverage opportunities
Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, bylines, blog content, and executive communications
Oversee PR agencies and external partners to ensure alignment with company goals
Support executives with media preparation, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities
Track and report media coverage, sentiment, and impact
Support crisis communications and rapid response as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
4 -6+ years of public relations, communications and/or media experience
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills and experience with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling messages
Experience managing PR agencies, budgets, and performance metrics
Proven success in working cooperatively and strategically in a team-oriented matrixed environment with the ability to influence and interact with all levels of leadership
Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously, aligning enterprise and business communications strategies
Strong work ethic and the desire to make an impact
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with multiple priorities
Preferred
Agency, in-house, and global experience preferred
Biotech and/or Healthcare experience is preferred
