DataX Connect is an industry-leading Owners Representative & Engineering Firm seeking skilled Commissioning Technicians to support commissioning activities across critical and high-performance facilities. The role involves performing on-site inspection, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, along with developing commissioning plans and contributing to final commissioning reports.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site inspection, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
Participate in factory witness testing and equipment start-ups
Execute functional performance testing
Assist in developing commissioning plans, checklists, and test scripts
Review shop drawings, submittals, and sequences of operation
Prepare progress updates and contribute to final commissioning reports
Ensure tasks are delivered on time and within budget

Required

Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
Hands-on commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently or within a team
Willingness to travel extensively and work in active site environments
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field OR equivalent hands-on experience
Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and OSHA 10/30 certifications
Up to 75% domestic travel (home at weekends and 1 week remote work per month)
Must live near a major airport
Valid REAL ID or passport required
