Responsibilities
Help to design and develop innovative orchestration features end-to-end
Own and drive enhancement in the orchestration frontend
Work on complex systems and a variety of programming languages and technologies, including: Python, TypeScript, React, Go, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform and Datadog
Work closely with UX designer, PM, full stack and backend engineers of all levels, collaborate with multiple engineering teams across dbtLabs (from product engineering to infrastructure)
Take ownership of systems post-release by participating in on-call and support rotations
Act as a mentor to other engineers, providing guidance on best practices and architectural decisions
Qualification
Required
Extensive frontend expertise
Strong knowledge of observability and debugging production issues at scale
Expert in frontend development with Typescript and React
Ability to balance speed of delivery with designing and implementing reliable, secure, highly available services
Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
Passionate about upholding engineering best practices in all phases of SDLC
Self-starter who can lead a group of engineers from inception to implementation of ideas
Experience working on complex systems and a variety of programming languages and technologies, including: Python, TypeScript, React, Go, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform and Datadog
Ability to take ownership of systems post-release by participating in on-call and support rotations
Act as a mentor to other engineers, providing guidance on best practices and architectural decisions
Collaborate with multiple engineering teams across dbt Labs (from product engineering to infrastructure)
Preferred
Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
Experience in the domain of data analytics and transformation
