Responsibilities

Provides technical services to daily operational control of a large complex voice, data telecommunications and LAN/WAN system with technical services
Installs, troubleshoots, tests and maintains all telecom/network equipment and on-site DC power systems including batteries (12V, 24V, 48V), rectifiers, generators, fuse panels, solar panels and grounding
Coordinates with SCADA, Gas Control, Network Services, local operations and company partners
Collaborates with Telecommunications Engineers/Specialists to assure the reliable operations of the Company's Telecommunications assets
Demonstrates technical expertise in specialties, geographic areas or operational functions
Applies specialized knowledge to complete projects and/or work assignments
Other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma/GED, technical/trade school certification or military electronics training and minimum eight (8) years' experience in telecommunications, operations or maintenance
Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thrives in a team environment and can build partnerships with others
Currently reside or are willing to relocate within 30 miles of assigned location
Knowledge of communications services (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Fiber Optics, T1, Wireless, etc.)
Must be available for 24-hour call-out and to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
May be required to work overtime
Must be willing to travel daily using company provided vehicle; Overnight travel will occasionally be vital

Preferred

Associate's or two-year technical school degree in electronics or military electronics training and valid FCC license, telecommunications certificate or license
Working knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and access point
Experience in Pipeline Operations, Utilities, or similar industry
