Youth Engagement Intern
The City of New York's Department of Buildings is responsible for ensuring the safe and lawful use of buildings and properties. The Youth Engagement Intern will support the Agency’s daily operations of internships and outreach programs, contributing to the development of initiatives that empower young people in New York City.

Responsibilities
Support the Agency’s daily operations of internships, externships, and fellowships through candidate processing, timekeeping, and program evaluation
Assist with the coordination and planning for outreach, recruitment, and events
Attend career fairs, community events, and recruitment events and hiring halls
Participate in the facilitation of orientations and segments within high school and college level educational programming
Prepare presentations and informational sessions
Design materials, activities, flyers, surveys, and forms
Develop strategies to build community and networks amongst past, present, and future student cohorts
Qualification
Required
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school
Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills
Proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
