Responsibilities
Provide executive oversight of ambulatory care pharmacy services across clients Health System
Lead specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy operations, non-oncology infusion pharmacy services, and central medication access
Identify and develop new ambulatory pharmacy business opportunities; lead business planning to support revenue growth and evolving reimbursement models
Advance the clinical role of ambulatory care pharmacists to improve disease management and patient outcomes
Oversee initiatives to manage and optimize employee prescription benefit costs
Ensure positive clinical, quality, safety, financial, and customer service outcomes across all ambulatory pharmacy services
Lead ambulatory pharmacy supply chain strategy to ensure reliable access to medications and services
Oversee ambulatory pharmacy information technology initiatives to support operational efficiency and patient care
Ensure full regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and 340B program integrity
Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nursing leadership, healthcare teams, and internal/external stakeholders
Actively participate in medical center and medical staff committees
Collaborate with pharmacy executive leadership to achieve departmental and organizational priorities
Provide comprehensive human resources leadership including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and retention
Support professional growth of pharmacy leaders and staff
Oversee pharmacy education and training programs, including postgraduate education
Serve as a preceptor for learners and provide education on healthcare trends and their implications
Qualification
Required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – required
10+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership and management experience
5+ years leading implementation of new pharmacy programs, services, or business initiatives
Preferred
Master's Degree (Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field) – preferred
Experience within ambulatory care, specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or academic medical centers strongly preferred
