Responsibilities

Support attorneys and partners on asset-based and corporate finance transactions
Assist with drafting, reviewing, and managing transaction documents related to CMBS and other structured finance matters
Coordinate transaction workflows, diligence materials, and closing processes
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to help ensure timely and accurate deal execution

Qualification

Finance law experienceTransactional law experienceReal estate law knowledgeProfessional maturityAttention to detailOrganizational skills

Required

5+ years of experience practicing in finance, transactional, or related legal matters
Demonstrated professional maturity and sound judgment when working on complex matters
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Active bar admission and residence in a state where the firm maintains an office, including: TX, OR, WA, MA, SC, NC, NY, IL, PA, MO, CA, FL, TN, NJ, DC, or DE

Preferred

Experience in real estate law and/or real estate finance is a plus, but not required
Interest in a long-term engagement, with openness to potential conversion from contract status
Preference for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone
Attorneys with a connection to Charleston, SC or Charlotte, NC who are open to occasional in-office presence are strongly preferred
