Responsibilities

Able to solo deliver or act as 'point' for complex projects or requests
Acts as technical escalation point to assist junior engineers
Lead in capacity planning and hardware specification recommendation efforts
Lead in all deployment and management activities, connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development, and third-party system integration
Lead User Acceptance Testing and bug-related engineering efforts
Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support activities as necessary
Effective team communicator
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations such as ISSA
Obtain and maintain top-tier vendor certification and accreditation
Complete administrative project tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting
Act as a contributor in Optiv communities for solutions of focus
Develop and maintain runbooks and procedural documentation

Required

U.S. Citizenship required
CJIS Background Check and Fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process
Hands-on experience managing with Palo Alto, F5, and Cisco platforms to a proficient/advanced level
Hands-on experience creating and implementing F5 VIPs, Managing various F5 modules (BigIP, BigIQ, LTM, APM, DNS, F5 Distributed Cloud, etc.)
Hands-on experience with cloud providers, specifically AWS and Azure (GCP optional)
Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto solutions
Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience with F5 solutions
Minimum five (5) years of professional Information Security experience in a consulting, vendor, or enterprise-level role
Information Security / Cyber implementation and practical experience
Fully qualified or certified on one or more relevant technologies
Experience in a customer-facing or consulting capacity
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior colleagues
Ability to work effectively in a Service Desk, client-facing environment—balancing responsiveness, communication, and technical precision while maintaining strong customer relationships
