Responsibilities

Work within the Special Disciplines team and may lead a small Reliability team or project
Develop, coordinate and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (doe) constructs
Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability
Compile and evaluate performance reports and process control statistics; investigate and analyze relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes
Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards
Evaluate preliminary plans and develop reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives
Develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks
Propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability
Determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data

Required

Spacecraft/Missile experience
Parts Engineering expertise and knowledge of MIL-PRF screening requirements
Systems engineering and production
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
Requirements development, system design, problem analysis and resolution, and integration and test
Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems, and strict attention to detail; effective analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high accuracy within requested timelines
Experience in at least six (6) of the following: Reliability Program Plans; Reliability Predictions and Analysis; Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); Availability; Maintainability Analysis and Predictions; Fault Tree Analysis; Probability Risk Assessment (PRA); Reliability HDBKS and Standards; Application of probability and statistics to support decisions regarding sample size, burn-in life testing and failure analysis investigations
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Active or Current Top Secret or higher clearance
