Optometry Technician - Equipment Coordinator
Aria Care Partners is dedicated to providing essential vision care in the field. The vision equipment coordinator is responsible for ensuring that clinical teams have the necessary equipment and supplies to deliver quality care while maintaining compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
Expert level knowledge with all vision equipment, what it does, and how it works, and how to trouble shoot and fix it within 60 days of employment
Manage and coordinate the supply ordering process for all field teams and ensure that supplies are ordered and delivered on the timeline set up, twice per month or as needed to keep field teams always stocked with what they need
Roll out the inventory tools decided on by Equipment Manager and department heads, to categorize and track all major pieces of optometry equipment and amniotic membranes with a detailed inventory process
Ensure equipment is organized and properly inventoried
Track equipment serial numbers and keep records up to date to provide upon request
Ensure new field team equipment set-ups sent out according to guidelines, at least 2 weeks before in-clinic start date
Ensure incoming equipment is properly maintained and prepared to be sent out again
Ensure equipment shipping to current field teams per request
Evaluate current stock of equipment and request ordering additional equipment as needed
Troubleshoot equipment errors with field team members, coordinate repairs, order/send replacement parts as needed and requested by optometrists
Coordinate with vendors on ordering and pricing
Coordination with Provider Support Specialist and Clinical Field Team Managers that new equipment is provided to all new field team staff before their start date and according to their needs
Other duties as needed and deemed necessary
Qualification
Required

Previous experience as an optometry technician, optician, or office coordinator is highly preferred (1+ years)
Knowledge of optometry equipment and terminology is required (1+ years)
Computer Skills – proficient use of Excel and Word
High Level of Organization – ability to manage and coordinate all supplies/equipment
Ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently

Preferred
Experience in shipping, receiving, and asset management is a plus
Previous experience working in dental, podiatry, or audiology field is a plus
