10+ years expHAAR Recruitment is seeking a senior, hands-on technologist to lead their 30+ person team through the design, implementation, and deployment of agentic AI and reinforcement learning–driven systems products. This role is central to pushing their platform from strong early capabilities into a robust, scalable product used in real operational settings.

Responsibilities
Leading the architecture, design, strategy, development and implementation of agentic AI systems capable of goal-driven decision-making, planning, and action under real-world constraints
Translate product and customer requirements into concrete AI system designs
Drive rapid iteration of deployment while maintaining system reliability and safety Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
Analysing and resolving technical problems
Defining standards for the platform to deliver AI solutions
Coordinating a team of 30 developers is cooperation with program management
Balance learning-based approaches with deterministic or rules-based components where appropriate
Support customer-facing and sales technical discussions when AI and platform expertise is required
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience building complex software products, with significant focus on AI/ML
Demonstrated experience deploying decision-making systems to customer cloud or hybrid environments
Strong foundation in machine learning, control, optimization, and statistics
Experience designing agent-based or autonomous products
Excellent software engineering skills (Python, SQL, UX a strong plus)
Ability to make sound technical decisions with incomplete or imperfect data and translate those to development plans
Preferred
Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration
Reinforcement Learning for decision making
Digital twins, physical models / simulators, or model-based RL
Experience in industrial IoT settings and timeseries data
Prior experience at an early-stage or Series A/B startup
Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and production ML reliability
Working knowledge of SOC2 & ISO 27001 standards
