Insight Global is seeking Cleared Aeromechanical Engineers to support a federal customer in the Greater Tampa Bay area. This role focuses on the engineering and design of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and systems, including performing 2D design of parts for fabrication and assembly, developing and analyzing mechanical systems, and conducting simulations and testing.

Responsibilities

Performing 2D design of parts for fabrication and assembly

Developing and analyzing mechanical systems for aircraft (engines, airframes, etc.)

Supporting manufacturing processes to ensure quality and performance standards

Conducting simulations, testing, and prototyping

Use SolidWorks to design and modify parts and assemblies

Create 2D drawings with BOM for fabrication and assembly

Perform aerodynamic analysis and calculations

Develop and analyze mechanical systems for aircraft (engines, airframes, avionics)

Conduct simulations, testing, and prototyping for validation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, systems engineers)

Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies

Oversee manufacturing and assembly processes for mechanical components

Maintain accurate documentation of designs, processes, and test results

Perform other duties as assigned
