Technology Infrastructure Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and own the infrastructure roadmap while actively participating in hands-on implementation
Lead planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects aligned with organizational goals and future growth
Establish and enforce technology standards through demonstrated technical excellence and direct contribution
Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions and emerging trends that enhance infrastructure capabilities
Drive automation initiatives and process improvements across IT operations through hands-on development
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering technical growth and career progression
Provide technical guidance and lead by example in complex troubleshooting scenarios
Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for all team members
Allocate resources effectively and manage budgets and vendor relationships while maintaining technical engagement
Establish team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and actively contribute to achieving operational targets
Implement and enforce comprehensive cybersecurity measures across both IT and OT environments, identifying and mitigating risks effectively
Lead physical security system deployments (Ubiquiti, Hikvision, Axis) while establishing standards
Manage and maintain 2-way radio communication systems to ensure reliable emergency and operational communications
Coordinate onsite emergency response procedures and maintain readiness of critical communication infrastructure
Design and implement multi-site network architectures using Cisco, Fortinet, and PicOS technologies, including site-to-site VPN connections
Configure and maintain internet-facing firewall security, ensuring robust perimeter defense and threat protection
Deploy and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, XCP-ng, Citrix) across all facilities
Implement and manage monitoring platforms (Zabbix, InfluxDB, Grafana) to ensure comprehensive visibility across infrastructure
Architect and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including strategic management of Windows Server and Active Directory/Entra
Maintain high-level knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes)
Manage incident response and provide technical leadership during critical outages

Required

Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering
At least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role
Proven ability to balance strategic management with hands-on technical contribution, particularly during team growth phases
Strong background in industrial or manufacturing environments managing IT infrastructure supporting critical systems including ERP, SCADA, Business Intelligence, and warehousing
High-level proficiency and strategic oversight across the following technology stack: Virtualization: VMware, KVM, XCP-ng, Citrix
Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 multi-site networks (Cisco, PicOS), site-to-site VPN implementation, internet-facing firewall security, and proven track record deploying cybersecurity solutions using the Fortinet ecosystem (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSRA)
Experience implementing and managing infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, InfluxDB, and Grafana
Azure infrastructure, Windows Server, and AD/Entra administration
Experience managing CCTV and access control systems (Axis, Ubiquiti, HikVision)
Extensive experience with 2-way radio systems and onsite emergency response coordination
Expertise in Linux environments (Ubuntu) and containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships while staying technically engaged
Strong project management skills to lead complex infrastructure initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent extensive industry experience with demonstrable leadership)

Preferred

Recognized IT certifications in networking, server technologies, cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure Administrator), or project management (e.g., PMP) are highly encouraged
