Responsibilities
Analyse organisational networking requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet business needs
Design, configure, and deploy network architectures utilising cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments
Manage and optimise network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption standards
Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs and optimise DevOps pipelines for seamless deployment processes
Monitor network performance metrics and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimise downtime
Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies in accordance with SDLC best practices
Provide technical support and guidance on operating systems including Windows and Linux environments
Implement updates and patches for hardware and software components to ensure system integrity
Assist in the planning of future infrastructure upgrades aligned with organisational growth strategies
Qualification
Required
Proven experience working as a Network Consultant or similar IT role within a corporate environment
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including deployment and management of cloud-based solutions
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java and Python for automation and integration tasks
Familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions, and their respective administration tools
Solid understanding of SDLC processes related to network development projects
Preferred
Experience working with Oracle databases or similar enterprise-level database systems is advantageous
Knowledge of DevOps practices, APIs integration, and automation tools is desirable
Relevant certifications in networking or cloud computing (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred but not essential
