Responsibilities

Use discretion and judgment in the intellectual field of architecture to accomplish the following:

Create, develop and design all Perry Homes products

Develop and create preliminary floor plans and elevation designs

Thoroughly analyze preliminary designs for cost compliance, value engineering, and overall design efficiency and make recommendations to management based on review

Coordinate design implementation and accuracy by working with CAD producers

Work with Production Manager to oversee flow of plans through department

Field reviews of Perry Homes products as well as competition

Remain up-to-date on market demands for plans and customer requests for all major Texas metropolitan areas

Obtain continuing education program hours approved by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners to maintain license

Frequently must complete projects on a very short notice with extreme time constraints

Perform other tasks as assigned by Senior Vice President of Design, as requested

Required

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field required

Must be a Licensed Architect in Texas

Requires minimum 3 years of experience in design with an emphasis in high-end residential design

Demonstrated presentation and computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD and a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
