AutoCAD Engineer
Phoenix Staff, Inc. is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to prepare technical drawings and design documents for civil engineering and land development projects. The role involves collaborating with civil engineers to produce accurate plans and utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software for various design tasks.

Responsibilities
Prepare improvement plans, exhibits, and drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D under the direction of a Licensed Civil Engineer
Generate 3D renderings and planning-level design documents within AutoCAD
Produce maps, diagrams, profiles, and cross-sections based on survey data to accurately represent elevations, contours, subsurface conditions, and structures
Develop Civil 3D design surfaces and create plan and profile views for street, storm drain, sewer, water, and other underground infrastructure
Draft detailed and rough grading plans for commercial, industrial, and various other development projects
Manipulate and develop construction details, cross sections, and related engineering graphics
Understand agency-specific drafting requirements and prepare deliverables according to local standards
Finish and assemble drawing packages according to required mediums and reproduction specifications
Address redlined comments from agency reviewers or internal QA teams
Review sketches, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with design concepts
Generate earthwork models, perform quantity calculations, and prepare 'heat maps' for cut/fill analysis using Civil 3D tools
Prepare conceptual designs using Google Earth, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D
Apply design techniques and principles to produce precise technical plans, drawings, and exhibits
Use advanced mathematical concepts to solve design and drafting challenges
Communicate effectively with engineering staff, project managers, and clients
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Exposure to and working knowledge of InfraWorks software
Background knowledge of the land development industry
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude both independently and within a team environment
Preferred
Advanced grading, drainage, and utility design skills
Previous experience in civil engineering, surveying, or hydrology
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
E.I.T. certification
