Responsibilities
Develop, write, and edit user manuals, installation guides, operation procedures, and maintenance documentation for data center/HVAC equipment, including chillers, air handler equipment, air walls, and technology cooling systems
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to gather technical information and ensure accuracy
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to create precise and informative content
Establish style guides and document templates to ensure documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company branding guidelines
Organize content using structured authoring tools and content management systems (CMS)
Incorporate safety protocols, troubleshooting steps, and best practices into manuals
Update and maintain documentation based on product revisions and feedback from internal stakeholders and end users
Support the creation of training materials, quick-start guides, and digital help content as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in HVAC, mechanical systems, or data center infrastructure
Proficiency in authoring tools such as Adobe InDesign, Microsoft office or other technical writing/manual software
Experience with interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, UL/ETL compliance, and data center operational protocols
Preferred
Previous experience with HVAC equipment
Knowledge of accessibility standards and multilingual documentation practices
