Responsibilities
Perform monthly GL account reconciliations, post correcting journal entries, and lead month-end and year-end close
Complete bank reconciliations across operating, payroll, trust/escrow and other firm accounts
Maintain monthly escrow transfers, ledgers, and reporting; research trust balances and manage due-diligence and unclaimed property submission requirements
Oversee vendor setup/cleanup, W-9/Tax ID verification, weekly AP payment review, payment confirmations, and vendor reconciliations
Lead annual 1099/1096 processing; support audit requests and ad-hoc reporting; maintain accurate JE files, reconciliations, and documentation
Oversee related foundation/charitable accounts (e.g., in QBO) and ensure timely journal entries and replenishments for designated accounts
Qualification
Required
7+ years of accounting experience
Hands-on expertise with Aderant
Advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills
Sound judgment and professionalism working across attorneys, vendors, and leadership
