Responsibilities
Elevate financial operations and strengthen systems that support the mission
Enhance the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial information
Lead monthly and annual close activities, manage audits, ensure strong internal controls, and oversee financial compliance
Strengthen financial reporting practices and help stakeholders understand the story behind the numbers
Guide the annual budget process, support forecasting, and build financial acumen for decision-making
Mentor staff, encourage growth, and foster a positive, collaborative team culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
Seven years of progressive financial management experience required
Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and fund accounting
Experience with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Preferred
Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
CPA
Ten years of experience preferred - ideally in nonprofit, higher education, or foundation settings
