Tatum by Randstad is seeking Enrolled Tax Agents to assist their start-up client during the busy season. The Enrolled Tax Agent will perform the final review of AI-generated tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance while focusing on efficient validation of individual clients' tax returns.

Responsibilities

Final Review & Certification: Scrutinize and validate AI-compiled tax returns for individual clients

Focus Areas: Review of Form 1040 (W-2) returns, with potential for some K-1 (partnership/S-Corp income) returns

Excluded Scope: No corporate (1120/1120S) or complex LLC returns are required

Efficiency Goal: The scope of review is significantly narrower than traditional EA roles, with an average review time targeted at 1.5 hours per return. This role is focused on efficient, high-accuracy validation

This role requires availability to support their peak season demand

Peak Season: Volume is heavily concentrated toward mid-March (slightly later than the traditional April 1st firm peak)

Volume Requirement: Must staff against the peak volume (25% of overall volume), meaning availability must be open during this critical time

Off-Peak: Hours will be proportional to volume, with minimal hours expected in February

Deep knowledge of individual (1040) tax codes and standards

Open and flexible availability is required, particularly during the mid-March peak season

Diligent, focused, and able to strictly follow standards and expectations for consistent, low-error results

Highly productive and able to maintain low percentage of mistakes while managing the 1.5-hour-per-return efficiency target
