Responsibilities
Lead and develop a world class Project Management and NPC team across the BU
Partner with BU GMs and functional stakeholders such as marketing and Engineering to facilitate the project selection process, including graduation of our innovation roadmap to the execution funnel
Drive effective project planning methodologies
Ensure that the POR BU development portfolio remains in line with approved budgets, resources and project schedule commitments
Ensure the execution plans for all PSD1 projects are sound and any necessary mitigation strategies are in place for identified risks. This includes working with individual Project Managers and functional leadership to ensure a schedule, staffing plan, risk analysis and mitigation plan and budget are in support of project goals
Ensure that all BU projects are developed in compliance with all required internal company, customer or industry standards, processes and procedures
Oversee the successful execution of the BU Portfolio Roadmap:
Ensure that all projects remain within their specified project bounding boxes, schedule, scope, budget and staffing. Work with individual PMs on mitigation when exceptions occur
Continually evaluate project risks and take appropriate action to mitigate
Drive common reporting and escalation practices across the team to BU leadership. Facilitate regular internal BU execution updates compiling project status from individual PMs
Drive conformance to the VBU business cycle, PLE data integrity, timekeeping, PEP, BMP tracking metric generation and analysis and reporting
Serve as the BU representative for VBU operations. Evangelize the necessary companywide ADI 3.0 / PRISM initiatives within the BU, while serving as a conduit for feedback / learning to the Central teams on effectiveness of such initiatives
Serve as an advocate for BU projects needs from other BU’s and central teams to ensure their plans and commitments to projects are met as planned and exceptions managed
Serve as the Big Bet Program Manager for the Data Center and Energy Verticals. Partner with the Big Bet Stakeholders to actively managing the “Big Bet” portfolio of projects, manage the associated action plans, and coordinate the necessary status materials needed by the VBU / ELT
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Masters or MBA a plus, but not required)
A minimum of 10 years industry experience, preferably with some background in silicon and/or Module development
Have 5+ years' experience in an Engineering Project/Program Manager role (PMP or another accreditation a plus, but not required)
Proven success in leading cross functional teams through influence; experience with multi-site, multi-geographical development is desired
Strong planning and organizations skills; must be able to set and manage priorities, adapt to change, track progress of activities, issues, risks and deliverables to closure
A problem solver who can quickly assess situations, collect relevant information or input from subject matter experts and drive manageable solutions
Able to act decisively and make clear timely decisions which are in the best interests of the project
Be creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge project challenges or improve processes
Willingness to take the big picture view; demonstrate an ability to identify and address challenges across functional boundaries
A nature of staying focused on solutions and ability to remain positive even under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage the detail to the target audience
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork and bridge differences to achieve the project goals
A leader who can set direction for project teams, lead and mentor more junior members of the PM community and drive a culture of continuous improvement
