Responsibilities
Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques
Read, interpret, and write specifications and technical documents
Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals
Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments
Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas
Understanding and/or leads Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process
May be assigned Earned Value Management duties
Travel: 10%
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 9 years of prior project engineering experience
Graduate Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of prior project engineering experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior project engineering experience
Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline is preferred
Four (4) or more years of experience with solid propellant propulsion projects is highly desired
CAM experience is desired
CAD knowledge is desired
Manufacturing experience is desired
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels
Ability to establish and maintain priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure, in a collaborative, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment
Strong time management skills
Ability to maintain attention to detail
