Responsibilities

Partner closely with the Director of Grants during the application process to develop grant budgets and manage post-award financial activity
Bill funding agencies monthly based on actual expenditures and ensure timely and accurate reimbursement
Monitor grant spending and collaborate with program managers to ensure proper and timely spend-down
Validate payroll, matching funds, and other allowable expenses tied to grants
Record grant-related journal entries and reconcile grant receivables and temporarily restricted net assets monthly
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and private grant requirements
Prepare and compile financial data for UDS, FFR, and other required grant reporting
Support UFR preparation and Single Audit activities in accordance with Uniform Guidance
Coordinate with HR, program leaders, and Finance to ensure accurate time and effort reporting and proper cost allocation
Review monthly P&Ls for grant cost centers and initiate payroll and non-payroll reclasses as needed
Contribute grant budget and forecast data to the annual budget and quarterly forecast process
Conduct financial feasibility analyses for new programs, services, or service expansions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5 to 8 years of experience in grant accounting, budgeting, and billing
Strong knowledge of HRSA and Department of Public Health grants
Experience with federal grant reporting and Uniform Guidance Single Audits
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, and finance stakeholders
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) or similar accounting systems
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to a community health mission
