Process Quality Manager

Responsibilities

Lead Food Safety Programs: Manage the SQF, HACCP, FSPCA, and internal audit programs across all bakery sites
Oversee Production Compliance: Approve raw materials and finished product releases and validate production processes
Manage Complaint Program: Track, investigate, and report quality or food safety complaints to management
Employee Development: Train, coach, and develop staff; manage disciplinary processes and performance reviews
Environmental Programs: Oversee yeast, mold, Listeria, Salmonella, water, and air monitoring programs
Documentation & Records: Ensure all food safety, quality, water, and air supply documentation is accurate and audit ready
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with maintenance, production, and senior management on preventative programs and crisis response
Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and support operational enhancements
Backup Responsibilities: Serve as backup HACCP coordinator, FSPCA lead, SQF lead, and internal auditor as needed
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required

Certified SQF Practitioner, PCQI, FSPCA, HACCP, or equivalent certifications
Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and performing hands-on quality activities
Knowledge of environmental monitoring, allergen programs, and regulatory compliance
Strong leadership skills, including team coaching, training, and performance management
Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and budgets efficiently
High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable acting with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in high-pressure situations

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
5+ years' experience in food manufacturing (bakery preferred) in quality or food safety leadership roles
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
