Responsibilities

You will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success
Providing direction to skilled bargaining unit employees
Leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction
Perform daily supervisor responsibilities including project management, effective communication and execution with support group members
Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and continuous improvement
Understanding and ability to drive quality and customer satisfaction through our CORE operating system (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence)

Required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience

Preferred

Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment
Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals
Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred
Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA)
Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite
Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers
