TITLE 5 SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/NETWORK) GS-2210-12
The 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard is seeking a Supervisory IT Specialist. This role involves overseeing the Information Systems Branch, providing administrative control and technical direction to subordinate personnel, and ensuring compliance with Communications Security (COMSEC) programs.

Responsibilities
Responsible for direct supervision of information technology personnel. The overall difficulty and complexity of the basic work most typical of the organization directed is GS-11. Assigns, directs, and reviews work, determines work methods and procedures, establishes standards of performance, and makes formal appraisals of subordinates' work
Provides oversight for the Communications Security (COMSEC) account for the Wing and subordinate units
Provides general guidance and broadly defined objectives, as to scope and priorities of projects and requirements in the branch
Coordinates with higher headquarters (HHQ) elements, Program Management Offices, Specific System/Hardware Support Elements, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) vendors and vendor contracted support facilities for issue resolution
Provides input to and coordinate on relevant support agreements that require section support to make sure they correctly identify products and services needed
Qualification
Required
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation
Will be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
U.S. Citizenship is required
Required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory security clearance, AND, as a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to assignment
Must have a valid driver's license
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required
This position conducts information assurance functions
The incumbent shall comply with the requirements of the certification program and will be required to obtain and maintain certification
Work may require access to classified information. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment
Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade
