Responsibilities
Cable Management: Run, pull, and splice copper and fiber optic cables, including CAT5, CAT6, and other low-voltage cabling
Hardware Assembly: Assemble and arrange equipment racks, patch panels, and materials for network deployment
Splicing: Perform precise terminations and splicing for fiber optic connections
System Testing: Assess LAN/WAN systems to identify bottlenecks and eliminate connectivity issues
Fiber Support: Use specialized test equipment to identify faulty cables and perform necessary replacements
Upgrades: Assist in the ongoing improvement of network communications to ensure high performance
Qualification
Required
Proven experience with CAT5/CAT6 and fiber optics
Proficiency with cable testers, crimpers, and fiber splicing kits
Understanding of basic LAN/WAN architecture
Ability to work onsite, move equipment, and manage cable runs in a physical data center or office environment
