The role involves building scalable backend microservices and data processing pipelines to enhance the company's ad delivery and optimization products.

Responsibilities
Build next-gen experimentation platforms for ad decisioning and online A/B testing
Develop simulation systems that support optimization and predictive modeling
Design and implement scalable, high-performance microservices using Java & Spring Boot
Create and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines using tools such as Python, Scala, Spark, and Airflow
Collaborate with researchers to productize machine learning innovations
Implement best engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews
Participate in all phases of the SDLC, from architecture and design to experimentation and testing
Work closely with product managers, program managers, researchers, and SDETs in a cross-functional environment
Adapt and pivot between backend, data pipeline, and occasional front-end needs depending on project scope
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + 5 years of relevant industry experience
4+ years of hands-on programming experience in Java, Python, Scala, or similar languages
Proven background building highly available, scalable microservices in production environments
Strong understanding of distributed systems, system architecture, and API design
Experience with big data processing and modern data technologies (e.g., Spark, Airflow)
Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native application development
Ability to work across microservices, data pipelines, and experimentation platforms
Strong engineering fundamentals and deep backend or data engineering expertise
Experience building scalable, distributed systems in cloud-based environments
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new domains and technologies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills within dynamic, research-driven teams
Curiosity, innovation mindset, and enthusiasm for contributing to an evolving ad platform ecosystem
Preferred
Experience or interest in the advertising technology ecosystem
Exposure to AI/ML technologies or ML production workflows
Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Databricks, Spark, Airflow, or similar platforms
Experience with A/B testing frameworks, experimentation systems, or simulation engines
Familiarity with both backend microservices and large-scale data engineering
