InternColorado Legal Services (CLS) is Colorado’s statewide nonprofit legal aid program providing civil legal assistance to low-income Coloradans. They are seeking a Summer Law Student Intern to assist with client interviews, case investigation, drafting legal documents, and conducting legal research.

Responsibilities
Assist with the investigation of applicant’s legal issues through client interviews, documentary review, research and analysis
Additional duties may include drafting of advice letters, pleadings, memoranda and briefs and legal research
Assistance with any other tasks necessary to carry out effective representation of clients
Qualification
Required
Strong commitment to legal issues affecting low-income individuals
Strong interest in research, writing and interviewing
Candidate should be confident and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Experience or class completion in areas of bankruptcy, collections and/or foreclosure
Spanish-speaking ability
