Responsibilities

Assisting patrons at the Information Desk with checking materials in and out using the library’s automated circulation system
Sorting and organizing library materials for re-shelving • Providing basic directional assistance and guiding patrons to resources
Supporting users with WEPA (Wireless Enabled Public Access) printing and answering related questions
Redirecting phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate library or campus departments
Accurately recording statistical and usage data • Maintaining the confidentiality of patron information in accordance with library policy
Assisting patrons during emergencies (e.g., severe weather, power outages, etc.)
Reporting facility, safety, or service concerns to the Client Services Manager

Required

Must be a current UCM graduate student
Must be available to work evenings, late nights, and weekends
Candidate must be able to manipulate full book trucks and large books up to 40 lbs

Preferred

Customer service experience and prior library experience are preferred
Familiarity with the Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal classification systems preferred
