We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to lead our accounting operations, overseeing daily financial activities and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while supporting the company’s financial goals.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations

Provide Financial and Industry Market analytics (with assistance from the Director of Marketing) to the President and CFO by way of Unanet Accounting/CRM software and DataRails

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

Prepare Property tax returns annually, as needed

Support the CFO, President and HR Manager with annual insurance renewals (benefits and business insurance)

Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting

Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with external auditors, including R&D tax credits

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements

Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development

Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking of projects

Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems and processes
