Responsibilities
Design & Program Control Systems: Develop, configure, and test PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to meet production requirements
Troubleshoot & Maintain Equipment: Diagnose and resolve issues with automated equipment, controls, and related systems to minimize downtime
Implement Process Improvements: Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Develop Technical Documentation: Create and maintain wiring schematics, control layouts, and system operation manuals
Vendor Coordination: Obtain quotes, recommend suppliers, and manage installation of control devices and equipment
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all systems adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Support Maintenance Team: Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians on control systems
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or related field; equivalent experience considered
Minimum 1–2 years in controls engineering or automation within manufacturing environments
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMI/SCADA configuration, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with AutoCAD for panel design and Microsoft Office tools for documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply structured methodologies
Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and lead technical initiatives
Ability to travel up to 20% for project support and commissioning
