Responsibilities
Reduce Production Incidents – Resolve bugs, implement proactive monitoring, strengthen automated testing, and ensure platform reliability
Improve Scalability – Design high-availability services, influence architecture, manage technical debt, and adopt tools that support sustainable growth
Enhance Customer Experience – Deliver new features, improve usability and accessibility, and collaborate with Product/Design to align with user needs
Elevate Engineering Practices – Mentor teammates, promote best practices in code quality, CI/CD, and documentation
Collaboration & Leadership – Partner across teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and take initiative on complex technical projects
Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Explore emerging technologies, propose automation opportunities, and contribute to long-term technical strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
3+ years of experience of frontend software development
3+ years of experience of backend software development
Experience with Ruby on Rails (or equivalent MVC)
Experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with React (or similar)
Experience with AWS/cloud
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing
Authorized to legally work for any employer in the United States
Willingness to submit to any requested background checks
Fluent in English
Preferred
Experience with Twilio
Experience with RabbitMQ
Experience with Redis
Experience with ElasticSearch
Experience developing reactive web applications
Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System
Ability to work independently in a decentralized environment without the reliance on direct authority
