Responsibilities

Provides stationary engineering support and monitoring the boiler/chiller central plant operations
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for infrastructure (environmental control) equipment that supports the physical plant
Assesses the condition and function of the plant to include air handling equipment, circulating pumps, and environmental controls equipment
Includes management of chemical and water treatment programs
Performs annual assessments and equipment refurbishment
Manages energy management automated building control system, adjusting major environmental systems as required including response to patient room heating and cooling requests

Required

High School or vocational school graduate
Maryland Grade 3 Boiler Operator License

Preferred

Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Previous year experience in a high pressure steam boiler plant operations
Previous hospital power plant experience with automated energy management (Building Automation System) program
Previous rotating shift operation experience
