Human Resources Business Partner

Responsibilities

Active member of the business/function leadership team to plan and implement strategies and programs to meet human resource requirements, collaborating with senior leadership to support short and long-term business objectives
Guide and support managers in conducting effective performance appraisals, setting SMART goals, and developing employees. Ensure that performance management processes are consistent and that feedback mechanisms are in place to foster continuous improvement and career development
Address employee relations issues, which may include leading investigations and implementing corrective actions
Develop and implement retention strategies by analyzing turnover data, employee engagement surveys, and by recommending actions to reduce attrition

Required

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organizational Development/Management, Employment Law or Business-related discipline
3+ years of progressive experience in human resources; prior experience in an HRBP role is preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulations including FLSA, AAP/EEO, ADA/ADEA, FMLA, etc
Ability to travel to the Plaquemine, LA site occasionally
Must possess a valid US Driver's License and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university

Preferred

Prior experience in an HRBP role
Technical abilities and experience with HR ERP systems is preferred; Workday and Kronos/Dimensions experience strongly preferred
The ability and willingness to relocate within Olin to other locations in the future is strongly preferred
