Manager, Signage Systems
LA28 is the independent organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, aiming to create an unparalleled experience for athletes and fans. The Manager, Signage Systems will develop and maintain the signage system, ensuring accuracy and consistency across venues, while collaborating closely with various teams to support the Games' delivery.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain signage templates using specialized signage application systems (e.g., tools similar to SignAgent). Templates include wayfinding structures, functional area (FA) signage, and custom signage types
Ensure all templates comply with LA28 brand standards, terminology, technical specifications, and production requirements
Support the build-out and ongoing refinement of the LA28 signage system, including naming conventions, system logic, and workflow management
Apply knowledge of automation processes and design software to support high-volume artwork generation, particularly for FA signage
Assist with the creation, organization, and continuous improvement of the LA28 Signage Catalog and Kit of Parts in collaboration with the design team
Review and advise on signage types, templates, specifications, materials, installation methods, and format variations
Lead prototyping of signage templates and signage structure development to ensure feasibility and production readiness
Ensure signage systems are ADA compliant, ensuring an inclusive signage delivery for the games
Apply knowledge of temporary and tournament signage structures to structure templates, formats, and specifications
Support venue planning teams with signage requirements related to wayfinding, operational flows, sport competition, broadcast, and spectator experience, including venue scoping plans
Participate in internal reviews, working sessions, and venue visits as needed to validate signage system functionality
Games time role may include on-venue & on-ground support for signage delivery and maintenance in venues
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in wayfinding & signage planning, or major tournament signage delivery
Hands-on experience with signage application systems (e.g. SignAgent)
Strong understanding of signage production, temporary structures, installation methods, and material specifications
Familiarity with architectural drawings, venue plans, and large-scale event layouts
Strong organizational skills and comfort working with technical data, naming conventions, and structured systems
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving project environment
Experience working on Olympic & Paralympic games, or other large global sporting events
Knowledge of wayfinding principles, environmental design, or event operations
Experience contributing to Kits of Parts, signage catalogs, or system documentation
Experience working within a multi-venue, multi-stakeholder environment
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, Environmental Design, Event Management, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
Training or hands-on experience with signage management software
Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or other vector-based artwork programs
Preferred
ADA accessibility training or certification related to signage and environmental design
