Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. They are seeking an Associate Value Stream Director to lead program-level strategic planning efforts and manage electric power systems programs for military customers.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple medium-sized programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets

Oversee program(s) P&L, accountable for meeting revenue and profitability targets

Review and present program plans and reports

Maintain a thorough Risk and Opportunity register, establishing effective mitigation and realization plans respectively

Drive program level strategic planning efforts

Interface with customers for contract negotiations, programmatic decisions, recovery scenarios, and new contract opportunities

Drive cost and customer satisfaction focused on performance targets and work to achieve these targets

Guide continuous improvement initiatives across value streams, including sustainment, services and mission readiness of critical platforms

Work with other functional leaders to set priorities for program resources and funding

Responsible for overall development program execution and performance

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience

Background in program execution and/or operational leadership

Preferred

Experience capturing, launching, and managing large development and sustainment programs

Customer-facing program leadership experience - US government and/or defense experience preferred

Working knowledge of Government contracting and acquisition processes

Working experience with Earned Value (EV) and/or P&L management

Working experience managing development programs

Ability to travel for customer, company and program related activities (approx. 20% of role requires travel)
