Responsibilities

Provide operational and technical leadership for the cytogenetics laboratory

Oversee staff performance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance

Coordinate workflow for karyotyping, FISH, and microarray testing

Troubleshoot technical issues and manage inventory

Write and maintain lab procedures and perform assay validations

Review complex cases for accuracy and prepare reports using ISCN nomenclature

Consult with genetic counselors, pathologists, and clinicians to ensure appropriate testing

Hire, train, and mentor technologists; schedule staff and conduct evaluations

Maintain inspection readiness and compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations

Drive continuous process improvement and innovation

Perform bench work as needed and assist with operational tasks

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field
