Responsibilities
Lead preparation activities to close the fiscal year and ensure readiness for an upcoming government and financial statement audit
Re-perform established close and audit preparation processes using prior-year workpapers and documentation
Support Single Audit requirements, including Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) preparation, grant reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Review, analyze, and resolve accounting variances, discrepancies, and audit-related inquiries
Provide targeted, project-based year-end accounting support in close partnership with senior finance leadership
Qualification
Required
Proven experience leading a Single Audit within government, non-profit, and/or tribal organizations
Strong working knowledge GAAP, GASB, and non-profit or government accounting standards, including SEFA preparation
Hands-on experience with NetSuite is highly preferred; other cloud-based ERP experience considered
Prior ownership of audit and close processes at a senior or controller-level capacity
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
