Responsibilities

Craft content for the Hometap Investment application and final process, plus the occasional document or product email

Partner closely with product designers throughout the design process — identifying customer pain points through research, sharing design directions with stakeholders, and polishing microcopy in Figma for developer handoff

Create content solutions that drives business goals while balancing team resources, regulatory requirements, product scalability, and user experience best practices

Improve existing experiences through UX, IA, and microcopy recommendations

Use systems thinking to ensure content complements marketing, customer experience, and sales processes

Adhere to, and help evolve, Hometap’s content standards and processes

Required

3–5 years of professional experience crafting user-centric content at a software company (likely as a content designer, UX writer, or UX content strategist)

Exceptional command of the English language and familiarity with the AP Stylebook

A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies

Ability to align stakeholders by communicating the why and how behind your decisions

Comfort giving and receiving feedback from stakeholders and other designers

Basic Figma proficiency (You should know how to use auto layout and apply text styles. You don't need to know how to prototype a scrollable page. But if you do, that's a big plus.)

Ability to aid user research, and apply data and research insights to your work

Familiarity with agile development and software-driven product development
