Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and oversight for all Defensive Cyber Operations activities
Ensure effective cyber defense posture across all supported subscriber environments
Track and manage operational objectives, requirements, risks, and deliverables
Collaborate with leadership and Team Leads to define priorities and operational goals
Maintain situational awareness of subscriber portfolios, onboarding activities, and data ingestion status
Ensure required data sources are properly ingested and alerting is functional across supported platforms
Align critical issues with appropriate operational resources to ensure timely resolution
Serve as the primary technical point of contact when interfacing with engineering teams
Act as a subject matter expert for DCO tooling, processes, procedures, and documentation
Present operational deliverables, requirements, and metrics during weekly sync meetings
Maintain and deliver operational metrics, dashboards, and objective trackers
Communicate daily objectives to Team Leads and facilitate daily standups and weekly requirements syncs
Support leadership by identifying appropriate technical points of contact for emerging issues
Ensure completion of administrative requirements, including personnel management, manning, and scheduling
Oversee alert and indicator completion, ticket tracking, and reporting requirements
Delegate tasks through Team Leads to ensure mission success
Serve as a Trusted Agent for all Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Red Team operations

Required

Minimum Security Clearance: Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
Eight (8) years of relevant experience (degree may substitute for experience as noted)
Experience managing objectives, requirements, and risk across cyber operations portfolios
Strong situational awareness and communication skills to support subscriber engagement
Technical expertise in operational tooling, requirements, processes, and documentation
Familiarity with government deliverables and reporting requirements
Strong analytical skills, including risk identification and mitigation
Experience collaborating with engineering teams and contracting partners
Personnel management experience, including staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain operational metrics
Experience with data ingestion and alerting platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, and Microsoft Sentinel
Demonstrated experience in cyber operations, service area management, or Security Operations Center (SOC) environments
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline with eight (8) years of related experience, or an additional six (6) years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Strong project management skills, including defining and tracking scope, schedule, cost, and quality metrics
Ability to leverage data and performance metrics to drive operational decision-making
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and capacity modeling tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex operational environment
