Responsibilities
Defines the requirements to design, develop, build, and maintain the tools, processes and data architecture of a Model Based Enterprise
Analyzes capabilities of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications
Leads internal and external stakeholders through determining conditions and designing fully functional and secure digital solutions
Develops long-range objectives and strategic plans for digital engineering innovations, and effectively communicates documented data and results to necessary stakeholders
Generates and presents business case analyses to executive leadership to pursue digital enterprise opportunities
Enables digital transformation efforts by conducting research, driving new technical approaches and processes, as well as developing and managing testing of functionality
Qualification
Required
2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Preferred
Ability to comprehend and define complex processes, systems, & tools (interfaces between physical and digital components)
Experience with CAD/PLM systems (Autodesk, Solidworks, Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.)
Experience with and interest in the uses and advancements in artificial intelligence and cloud hosted environments
Experience with standard process mapping & process tracking/ mapping software programs (MBSE, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Vizio, etc.)
Experience with developing deliverables through standard programs (Excel, BASIC, SharePoint, MATLAB, etc.)
Ability to explain / present highly technical details to non-technical audience
